The hotel is located in the centre of Prague in a quiet street, overlooking a small, pretty square. It is very close to the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. The main railway station is 2 kilometres away.

The Maximilian Hotel is housed in a traditional building, its classical façade typical of the architecture in the Old Town area, in spite of an extensive renovation in 2005. Though fairly small, the lobby is appointed in a modern style and boasts plenty of natural light. Shared over 6 floors, the 72 guestrooms and are well appointed, with modern furniture and neutral colour schemes. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet breakfast every morning in the bright, welcoming winter garden, which is located on the ground floor to the rear of the lobby. There’s also a bar/café next to the reception area and a drawing room with a fireplace where guest can enjoy a drink while browsing books and newspapers. This is an excellent property, which receives consistently strong reviews from business and leisure travellers alike.
